Over the years, I have steadfastly maintained that it is indeed possible to produce a professional music recording without the use of any audio signal processors, achieving a sound quality that rivals, if not surpasses, conventional recordings.

 

I have meticulously developed a method that enables the close-mic recording of multiple instruments, capturing their full frequency range while mixing the project entirely devoid of signal processors or mastering—without utilizing EQ or busses! there are no compressors, limiters or Equalizers in sight and we utilize a 'one track, one take apprach to recording vocals. 

 

This innovative process took over four years to refine before I felt confident in its ability to sonically match any contemporary popular recording. The results have exceeded even my most ambitious expectations.

 

My aspiration was to create an album with an almost orchestral grandeur.

 

The vision was to evoke a Rock Crooning Big Band vibe, yet driven by the powerful resonance of pianos alone. 10 concert stage grand pianos to be exact.

 

**Piano Rocks** is engineered to ensure that when played on handheld devices, it mimics the sound quality of popular recordings, as these devices lack the capability to adequately reproduce the lower frequencies inherent in the recordings.

 

On a tablet or laptop, the audio resembles that of FM radio for the same reason.

 

However, when experienced on a an amplified stereo system, listeners are treated to the full spectrum of audio frequencies, delivering a symphonic experience.

 

It's widely acknowledged in the music industry that frequencies below 200 Hz are often cut, but not in these recordings!
